Leave the small harbour of Los Gigantes on a quiet catamaran and head out under cliffs that rise 600 metres straight out of the sea. The strait between Tenerife and La Gomera is home to resident pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins, so sightings are part of almost every trip. The crew stops the engines near the animals, then drops anchor in a calm bay for a swim.
